Two winners at the Limerick Regatta held in O'Briens Bridge on Saturday 15th April 2006. In the Mens Novice Scullls Dave Duggan won his final by a distance from Waterford, Castleconnell and Shannon. In the Mens Intermediate final the Cork Boat Club crew of Brian Dwyer, John Paul Collins, Alan O'Riordan, Eoin Hennessy and cox Amy Desmond powered home to win by two feet from St.Michaels, UCD and UCC. Success also came in the Mens Senior Pair with Denis MacSweeny and Eamonn Joyce winning and the Mens Senior Eight Eamonn & Denis won in a composite crew with UL, Shannon & Castleconnell. Other Cork Boat Club results the Womens J14 coxed quad came third in their final while the Mens J15 coxed quad came second in their heat with only one crew to qualify. Well done to all crews representing the Club. Only two heads were run in the recent Tribesmen HOR in Galway. Cork Boat Clubs Mens Intermediate eight came in a time of 14:32 2nd behind NUIG by a margin of just 5 sconds while the Mens Intermediate 4 time of 16:24 3rd place behind winners NUIG time 16:04 out of a field of 9 crews. Other boat club crews featuring were the womens intermediate four finishing in third position in a time of 19:38 and the womens junior 18 quad in a time of 22:50. The latter crew made up of Junior 16's as there was no category for them. Well done to all crews for taking part in bad conditions.
