Learn to row safely while having lots of fun.
Cork Boat Club have put together this fantastic
program to bring together young men from the
ages of 12 to 15 years to try the sport of
rowing.
Four programs will be run in June from our
rowing facility in Blackrock, Cork.
Rowing For Beginners:
A two day introductory course where you
will learn how to row.
Experienced coaches will take you out on
the river both on your own and in a crew.
Guaranteed fun learning experience where
you will learn rowing skills as part of a
team.
Each program will be based from our facility
in Blackrock Village for 4 hours per day over
two days.
Course Schedule:
There are four available programs being run this
season on the 9th and 10th of June and on the 23rd
and 24th June. Each program consists of two 4
hour sessions on two consecutive days. There are
two time options the first from 9am to 1pm and
the second from 1pm to 5 pm.~
You will need to wear light training gear and a
light wind sheater. Life jackets and all rowing
equipment will be provided.
Lunch is not included and we recomnd you bring a
good healthy packed lunch. A good appetite is
gaurenteed after each session.
The course costs €30 for the two days.

Saturday
• Safety Induction and introduction to the
course and the equipment usage.
• Basic rowing technique both on land and on
the river.
Sunday
• Rowing in groups of between two and eight
learning on the river the rowing stroke.
• Mini regatta.
